The best reason to blog...

..I've just realised is that in some way you are also creating a living history for yourself.
I have a friend who kept a diary, every day, solidly, for 10 years! All through his teens and into his 20's this chap wrote down a little bit of every day and as a consequence has a lot of my life in a book!
I am speaking again tomorrow at Bath Ecademy (which should be fun) and have lots of meetings lined up for the back end of the week as well.
I'm also trying to manage both the 'on the business' and the 'in the business' side of things which is I'll admit proving a tricky exercise.
I wonder if anyone else reads this stuff but me?

Thought for the day?

I was thinking about this yesterday on the train home and it occurred to me that I perhaps need to add value via this blog each day.
It probably isn't sufficient for me to tell you how I'm getting on, how busy or bored I am or what the weather is like (it's very dull here today by the way).
So, on this new note, here is the first 'thought for today'

Thought for Today

If your morning has started of dull, grey, boring and miserableas indeed mine could seem to have done, take a moment to changeyour mind.
If you really want to feel dull, grey, boring and miserable today thenjust leave things as they are and despite the world around you'sbest efforts - that's probably how the day will feel.
If however you'd rather feel energised, alive and ready for actionthen here's a clue.

BE Different

Act as though you're energised, smile, walk with purpose
Take action and take it firmly and quickly - even making the first
coffee of the morning could be a task well done in this way.
The more you act as you want to feel, the more you will feel
energised, alive and ready for action.

Try it - I did.

Just a little something...

..that I thought you might like.

I'm trying to put this all over the place.

This is an excerpt (via podcast) from my first audio book on Work/Life balance.

The book itself will set you back nearly £10 but the podcast preview is free of charge.

Enjoy.

Things that make you go ummm...?

So last week finished off being wet and miserable, and not just weatherwise either. When that young woman went into my car on friday afternoon, I really could have wished for better things but that's just life and at least no-one was injured.
My best buddy Richard stepped forward again and did an amazing job getting the dents out of the door (can live with it now), now just have to see if the old dear is still roadworthy today (fingers crossed).
Am getting ready for my speaking engagements tomorrow and wednesday - really looking forward to those.
Could also be busy
here this week with lots of new candidadates and roles on the horizon.
Rod now has a headache.
